Description Just in time for the back-to-school season, this Paesold model 592 3/4 carved back is the latest example of fine building and finishing techniques practiced by this great little company. These basses are very similar to the old Hofner 3/4 and 7/8 size carved back instruments that I used to get regularly when I first started my retail bass business. The 592 model has fairly plain maple woods and high quality European spruce top plates. Most of the time these basses feature the Rubner ebony post “hatpeg” style tuning machines, which are a gorgeous cosmetic consideration. Other standard features are a relatively light style of build, Adjusters added to the high quality maple bridge, and a lightly antiqued varnish finish that is lightly applied for tonal transparency. The dimensions are: Top length 42 5/8″, Upper bout width 20″, Middle bout with 13 3/4″, Lower bout width 26 1/8″, Rib depth at tail 8 1/2″, Rib depth at upper bout 7 1/8″, Rib depth at neck joint 6 5/8″, String length 41 1/2″. This particular bass has a strong bottom and and colorful midrange performance. It is equally adaptible to both jazz and orchestral pursuits. It is currently strung with Spirocore strings for jazz playing. With cover. Special Spring Sale discount price: $11,500
