Description An exceptionally clean and well cared for Juzek 3/4 carved back from the early 1970s. This remarkable Juzek bass wasvery carefully used and maintained by its orchestral playing owner until arthritis ended her career. The finish remains clean and bright, the colors very vivid and lively. The medium-fine grain top plate has narrower grain at the center join. The lightly flame figured ribs and back plate are well matched. The lightly figured maple neck has been fit with chrome plated half-plate tuning machines. The ebony fingerboard has been well maintained. The G-side ribs have added leather bumpers attached. The replacement bridge has adjusters added. Dimensions are: Top plate length 42 3/4″, Upper bout width 19 3/4″, Middle bout width 14″, Lower bout width 25 5/8″, Rib depth at tail 8″, Rib depth at upper bout corner7 3/4″, Rib depth at neck 6 1/2″, String length 41 5/8″.
