Description This ca. 1960s Roth 3/4 carved back features exceptionally nice woods throughout, engraved tuning machines, and an extended fingerboard. Performance improvements include a neck reset, bass bar size reduction, replacement extended range fingerboard, and a tailpiece saddle extension. Flame figured maple woods. Top grade spruce top with even grain and some scattered hazelfichte (bearclaw figure). The top regraduation opened up the tonal range and responsiveness of this bass to a large degree. It has a lively voice in all registers.
