Description Classic 1953 Hamilton art-deco ‘Sedgman’ automatic watch in USA standard 14K gold. Large case size and lovely art-deco type bezel and lugs. This top of the Hamilton range watch was brought out in 1953. It included Hamilton’s brilliant automatic 661 movement. The watch cost a huge $150 in 1953, and today represents a scarce watch to find. Item description: 14K gold case with large bezel and fine art-deco lugs. The dial with brushed silver centre and with raised gold numbers. The dial with Hamilton name, and the designation automatic. Reverse has screw-on case-back. The case-back with Hamilton name, 14K designation, along with serial number. Fine quality Hamilton 661 automatic movement. Case size: 34.5mm x 42.5mm including lugs Condition report: Case in excellent condition with a nice polished finish remaining (free from major scratches or other damage). Dial original. Movement clean and in working condition (no warranty implied). The strap and buckle (not Hamilton) remaining in excellent condition.
