Description This 2014 Xuechang Sun 3/4 size model 920 with C extension is in fine condition and is made of top drawer materials from Xuechang Sun. The highly figure maple neck, ribs, and back plate are gorgeous and uniform in grain pattern and flame figure. The spruce top plate has uniformly even, narrow grain. The finish is in a medium brown varnish. The tuning machines are from KC Strings. The G-side ebony bumpers and the C extension were made and installed by a Northern California luthier. The one repair is a G-side lower bout rib crack at the joint of the interior lining. Dimensions are: Top length 42 3/4″, Upper bout width 20 1/4″, Middle bout width 14 7/8″, Lower bout width 26 3/8″, Rib depth at tail 8 5/8″, Rib depth at upper bout 7 3/8″, Rib depth at neck 6 1/4″, String length 40 3/4″.
